Let’s take a moment to welcome March with open arms, this means spring is just around the corner. But before we get all wrapped up in our dreams for warmer weather, lets take a look back at the shortest month of the year. February was lacking in the favorites department; there weren’t many things that stood out, but here are the few that did:
1. Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner: This could not have arrived at a better time. I just ran out of my Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner and was looking to purchase a new liquid felt tip liner, then like magic, I received this in my monthly Birchbox. It’s a great everyday liner, it’s opaque and does not flake. The only thing I would change about this liner is the flexibility of the felt tip, it’s not very flexible and as a result wings are a bit more challenging to create.
2. Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup: I usually don’t wear foundation on an everyday basis, but lately I have been feeling like wearing a bit more of coverage. Since I find it difficult to commit to one foundation, I went on a sample spree in Sephora. This was one of the samples I picked up and immediately loved it. I only apply it in the areas that need a bit more coverage, not all over my face, and it does a great job at blending in with my skin. I have oily skin and I always find foundations a bit tricky, matte finishes are too heavy and other finishes wear off mid-day. The Estee Lauder Double Wear Light has more of a matte finish, but it’s really light and as the name states – it stays in place throughout the day.
3. American Apparel Necklace: Though I love a good statement necklace, on an every day basis my accessories lean towards simplicity. My miniature gold bow studs and gold middy ring are my go-to accessories, but this delicate necklace was the missing daily staple. I picked this up while on my mini-trip to Miami, FL back in November and I still find myself obsessing over it. Not only does it go with pretty much anything, it also has my initial!
4. Nature’s Path Summer Berries Granola: I’m a huge fan of granola, I have it almost everyday for breakfast. Nature’s Path is one of my favorite brands of granola, they have a wide range of flavors and they are organic with gluten-free options. I always select new flavors to try out and was completely blown away by the Summer Berries flavor. This flavor mixes the nuttiness of granola with the fruitiness of dried berries; it’s the best of both of worlds. Try this with some vanilla almond milk or plain yogurt, it’s will blow your taste buds away.
That wraps up my favorites, short but definitely a few great finds. Feel free to share your February favorites in the comments below.
