A Few New Skincare Buys

It’s no secret I love trying new skincare products, I’m constantly searching for products that work with my skin. These are a combination of new buys and deluxe samples that I’ve recently discovered and been enjoying.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment: This is one of those products that almost every beauty enthusiast raves about. It’s (as the name suggest) an intense exfoliating treatment. It has both physical and chemical exfoliating properties that work together to remove dead skin leaving behind a smooth and radiant complexion. It’s a great product to use when you do not have time to spare and need to exfoliate. Just dispense a small amount on your hand and massage on your face for 30 seconds, let sit for two minutes, then just rinse off - it’s that simple. In the directions it suggest to use it while in the shower for the steam can help activate the enzymes and it does have a tingling sensation, but my skin has never felt softer. You can really see a difference after one use. If you’re worried it may be too abrasive, there is a gentle version for sensitive skin that works just as well.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream: This is not new to me at all, I’ve actually tried samples of this eye cream a few times, and for some reason it never blew me away. Not sure why I picked it up, maybe it was the bright packaging, but I’m so glad I did. This eye cream does exactly what it claims, it helps tired eyes look energized and awake. It is made with coffee beans, ginseng, and natural brighteners to helps depuff and give your eyes a refreshed appearance. This product is especially great on mornings when the eye area can use a little extra help. It has the perfect consistency that works great on its own and under makeup. If you’re looking for a brightening eye cream I highly recommend this product.

Tatcha Luminous Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate: Sometimes I receive samples and they just sit in a drawer for months; with this the packaging was so beautiful I did not care what was inside I just wanted to try it. The jelly textured face cream came in a lovely lilac colored pot with a gold scoop - everything about it was telling me I must try it. Formulated for dry skin, this is a night moisturizing treatment that aims to restore and enhance your skin’s radiance. That being said, I have oily skin and I love using it as a moisturizing treatment when I feel my skin needs it. Only one to two scoops needed to cover your entire face, it doesn’t have the typical texture of a night cream but it blends just as well (if not better). The best part is how lightweight yet moisturizing it is. I always wake up amazed at how moisturized and soft my skin feels. This might not be an everyday night cream for people with oily skin, but if you have dry skin this is a product you must try!

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask: So in love with this lip treatment! I honestly have not used anything else since I purchased it. It’s filled with agave nectar, jojoba oil, and antioxidants to protect and nourish your lips. During the day I apply a thin layer if needed and at night I like applying a nice layer which makes them feel extra hydrated in the morning. This is a great treatment to use after a day of wearing liquid lipstick - your lips will thank you. The one thing I will say is that the packaging is not the best, it gets worn quickly and it’s sometimes hard to squeeze out the product; that being said I will definitely repurchase it again.
