I know I say this in every monthly favorites post, but can you believe June is basically over! It’s mind blowing to see how quickly 2016 is going by. I felt that the month went by so fast and I didn’t have many favorites, but thought I would share the few things that did stand out. They are random, but all things I’ve been obsessing over, enjoy!
Lilly Singh aka IISuperwomanII: I’m a huge YouTube fan, all about #TeamInternet and how it’s shaping the future of marketing/advertising. That being said, I’m mainly subscribed to beauty/lifestyle creators, but I always enjoy finding youtubers that make different content than what I typically watch. Lilly is a youtuber whose main channel videos mostly consist of comedic skits, with over nine million subscribers she has created a loyal fan base (#TeamSuper) that connect with her videos on a daily basis. I first became aware of Lilly when her youtube marketing campaign started showing up all over NYC and finally after months of seeing her face on sides of buildings I gave one of her videos a watch and I’ve been a fan ever since. Her videos are hilarious and very relatable, it’s easy to see why so many viewers tune in. She also has a daily vlog channel which is very entertaining and inspiring to watch. It was actually her daily vlog channel that made me want to continue watching her videos. She has this incredible drive to work and succeed that is extremely motivating and inspiring to watch - it just makes you want to get up and do things that are productive. I also had the chance of meeting her earlier this month which was pretty cool, she’s just as lovely and witty in person as she is in her videos.
Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Matifying Fluid: I’ve been obsessed with the same moisturizer for months now (Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief) and after buying so many jars I thought I would give a new one a try. I’ve seen this one around a bit so thought I would give it a try. There are three different versions of this moisturizer, I went with the one for combination/oily skin. The moisturizer is lightweight, yet moisturizing with flax seed powder which controls oil production and leaves an immediate matte finish. As with many of the Caudalie products it is made with grape water among other ingredients that work together to balance the skin and promote a smooth complexion. This is a great summer weather moisturizer.
Forever 21 Studded Faux Leather Crossbody: Though I purchased this bag a few months ago I didn’t actually wear it until recently (I’m not sure why it took so long for me to wear it) and i’m completely in love with it. It’s a great bag that adds a trendy element to any outfit. I love the gold studs and the suede tassel detailing. The only downside is that it looks more spacious than it actually is, doesn’t fit much but it’s still a great piece to wear. I have it in black and it's also available in tan and cream. The best part is that it’s super affordable and surprisingly well made.
Philips Sonicare Series 5 Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush: Now I know this is random, but since everyone brushes their teeth I thought I would share this. I’ve never owned an electric toothbrush and finally invested in one this month and it’s truly life changing. I found this model in particular to be lightweight and very easy to use. It has a timer, three different speeds, and two different modes - everything needed to keep your smile nice and healthy. My teeth have literally never felt cleaner, I highly recommend investing in an electric toothbrush.
